Billy Goat Trail in D.C. to close temporarily for SWAT training exercise

A section of the Billy Goat Trail that runs along the Potomac River in the District will be closed next Wednesday for a SWAT training exercise, officials say.

A section of the trail, from the Angler’s Inn trail head to the emergency exit trail intersection, in the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park area will be closed from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. for the exercise, the U.S. Park Service said.
